Sarn Nursery and Nottage Primary School have become the latest schools in Bridgend County Borough to score their second Green Flags.Assessors from Keep Wales Tidy praised both schools for the progress they have made since winning their first Green Flags and for their efforts to involve the local community in spreading the eco-school message.Both schools have undertaken a variety of events. Children from Nottage Primary School linked up with Porthcawl Comprehensive pupils to pick up litter in Rest Bay while Sarn Nursery organised a ‘Give Poverty The Boot’ event for the local community.Their success follows the recent announcement that Heol-y-Cyw Primary School has become the first primary in Bridgend County Borough to achieve a second Green Flag and Fairtrade status.
